LEGAL
Refund and Cancellation Policy
1. Event cancelled
If an organiser cancels an event and no replacement date is accepted, the customer is entitled to a refund of the ticket purchase price. HazaTix will process the refund after cancellation is confirmed and the required event funds are available. The organiser remains responsible for refund funding under its agreement with HazaTix.
2. Event postponed or materially changed
The ticket will normally remain valid for the replacement date. A customer who cannot attend may request a refund within seven calendar days after HazaTix sends notice of the new date or material venue change, unless a longer period is required by law or stated in the event terms.
3. Customer cancellation
A customer may request cancellation before the event. The request will be considered under the Consumer Protection Act, the event-specific terms, the time remaining before the event and costs reasonably incurred or committed. A reasonable cancellation charge may apply where permitted by law. No rule in this policy removes a customer right that cannot lawfully be waived.
4. No-show, used and invalid tickets
A customer who does not attend an event that proceeds as advertised is ordinarily not entitled to a refund. Used, scanned, duplicated, altered, resold in breach of law, fraudulent or cancelled tickets are not refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
5. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where practical. Assisted cash, EFT or card-machine sales require identity, order and payment verification. Bank and payment-provider processing times are outside HazaTix’s control. Customers should retain their order reference and ticket code.
6. Commission, gateway fees and organiser settlement
HazaTix earns its 10% commission only on completed, non-refunded sales. A full refund reverses the related organiser net amount and HazaTix commission in the platform records. Any irreversible gateway or chargeback cost is handled between HazaTix and the organiser under their written agreement and is not added to the customer unless the law and the disclosed transaction terms permit it.
7. Requesting a refund
Contact HazaTix using the support method published on the platform and provide the order reference, purchaser name, mobile number, event and reason for the request. HazaTix may request reasonable proof before processing. Refund decisions and actions must be recorded for audit purposes.
8. Disputes
Customers should first give HazaTix and the organiser a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter. Customers retain their rights under applicable South African law and may use an appropriate consumer or legal dispute process.
