HazaTix Terms and Conditions

1. About HazaTix

HazaTix provides a platform for discovering events, issuing tickets, processing or recording ticket payments, delivering tickets and validating entry. Unless HazaTix expressly states otherwise, the event organiser remains responsible for producing and operating the event, including its venue, programme, safety, permissions and customer-facing event information.

2. Accounts and information

Users must provide accurate information, protect their login details and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. Organisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of event descriptions, dates, venues, images, ticket types, restrictions and capacity.

3. Ticket purchases and payments

A ticket order is complete only after HazaTix confirms payment or an authorised HazaTix employee records a confirmed cash, card-machine or EFT payment. An EFT ticket must not be issued until funds have been verified. The total price must be shown before purchase. Each QR ticket is unique, single-use and may be refused if it is altered, cancelled, duplicated, already used or obtained fraudulently.

4. HazaTix commission

HazaTix deducts an all-inclusive commission equal to 10% of each completed ticket sale. The organiser’s amount is 90% of the completed sale, before any valid refunds, reversals, chargebacks or other adjustments expressly agreed in writing. Payment-gateway charges and HazaTix’s VAT and operating costs are absorbed within HazaTix’s 10% and are not deducted a second time from the organiser. Each order stores the applicable commission as a permanent historical record.

5. Organisers and staff

Organisers may view sales for their events, the HazaTix commission and their net amount. Organiser employees may be granted scanner-only access for assigned events; scanner access does not permit ticket selling, financial changes or event administration. HazaTix employees may record authorised assisted sales but may not change commission rates, approve events or settle organiser funds unless separately authorised.

6. Event changes and refunds

The Refund and Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms. Refunds, reversals and chargebacks reduce the related sale and organiser settlement. A scanned or used ticket is ordinarily not refundable unless applicable law requires otherwise.

7. Records, tests and misuse

Real financial transactions are retained as cancelled, refunded, voided or archived records and are not silently deleted. Clearly identified test events and test tickets may be permanently removed by the HazaTix owner. Users may not resell tickets unlawfully, interfere with the platform, misuse customer data, upload unlawful content or attempt to evade ticket controls.

8. Privacy and communications

HazaTix processes account, order, payment-reference and ticket-validation information to provide the service, prevent fraud and keep required records. WhatsApp delivery opens the user’s WhatsApp service and may be subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and data charges. A separate POPIA-aligned Privacy Policy should be published before public launch.

9. Availability and liability

HazaTix will take reasonable steps to keep the platform available and ticket records secure, but cannot promise uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law. To the extent permitted by law, HazaTix is not responsible for an organiser’s failure to deliver an event or for indirect loss beyond HazaTix’s reasonable control.

10. Suspension, changes and law

HazaTix may suspend accounts, events or tickets where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or breach of these terms. Material changes will be dated and communicated appropriately. These terms are governed by South African law, and statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
